Elizabeth Banks recalled being moved to tears when she hosted her first game show on ABC’s Press Your Luck.
Although she did watch the game show growing up, it wasn’t the reason why she became emotional. It was seeing contestants achieve their greatest dreams.
Banks said that he can recall the first time he went home from a show. “I was in the bathroom.” My husband came in and asked, “How’s it going?”
“My husband came in and asked, “How’s the show?” I replied, “Honey …'” I started to cry in the shower after my first show. I couldn’t believe that I was there, and one contestant was so emotional that I was wiping away tears. It was very emotional. This is an incredible experience. This show allows me to make a difference in people’s lives. Banks stated that ET arrived on the set just hours prior to ET. This was just hours before ET almost won $1 million.”
She says it’s exciting. It’s one of my favorite parts of this show. It’s a way to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s incredible.
Banks, who was appointed host in May 2019, stated that Press your Luck was must-see TV for her and her sibling.
My sister and I used to go home after school and watch Press Your Luck. We loved the whammies because they are animated and so silly.

We felt that the questions were pop-culture things that we could possibly get spins on.
